Terms & Conditions

WHILST TRAVELLING WITH LOCAL SHUTTLE SERVICES:

  • Passengers must wear seat belts at all times, and children under the age of 8 must travel in appropriate child seats with safety belts on at all times. Your driver is at liberty to decline/ discontinue travel if passengers do not comply.

  • Child seats and booster seats can be supplied by prior booking, subject to availability. Passengers providing their own child seats will be required to fit them into the vehicle themselves on outbound and inbound trips for insurance purposes. Your driver is at liberty to decline/ discontinue travel if passengers do not comply. Child seats stored at owners risk.

  • Any fine imposed by the authorities for failure to wear a seat belt is the customer's responsibility and the customer will have to pay in full the cost of the fine.

  • Passengers are expected to behave courteously to our drivers and other passengers.

  • If any passenger is under the influence of alcohol / drugs, your driver is at liberty to refuse the whole journey for all persons, so as not to jeopardise the driver, vehicle and also other road users. Any damages to the vehicle or driver will be redeemed in full and any loss of earnings, including replacement vehicle hire will be paid by the customer. Local Shuttle Services do not accept liability for alternative travel arrangements made by the customer or any loss/impact on forward travel (e.g. missed flight).
     

WHEN BOOKING WITH LOCAL SHUTTLE SERVICES:

  • When booking a transfer, we can only ADVISE the customer on the journey transfer and pick up times.  Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport a minimum of 2 hours prior to flight departure for European destinations and a minimum 3 hours prior to flight departure for long haul flights. Should passengers choose to arrive at the airport at any other time prior to flight departure, Local Shuttle Services accepts no responsibility for any missed flights due to this.

  • We do not accept any responsibility in any way for missed flights or other onward travel arrangements for whatever reason (e.g. traffic delay, accident, breakdown, severe weather conditions or any unforeseen circumstances).

  • All passengers are advised to have adequate travel insurance prior to booking.

  • Bookings are made for a particular date and time. Local Shuttle Services will attempt to accommodate any changes made to this original booking by the passenger or airline, ships company, travel agent, or any other company / person, however no guarantee can be made.

  • We may ask for a £25 fully refundable deposit if picking up passengers from a home or business address outside a radius of 50 miles from Cardiff. Payable 24 hours before pick up.

  • Local Shuttle Services monitor live flight details, however if you have a serious delay on your return journey please inform us as soon as possible.

  • Passengers must provide an emergency mobile contact number on which they can be contacted whilst on holiday and return to airport.

  • Local Shuttle Services use their own vehicles wherever possible but do use third party companies where appropriate.

  • Local Shuttle Services will provide a free name board for all airport meet and greets except Cardiff Airport and Bristol Airport unless requested.
     

LOCAL SHUTTLE SERVICES PRICING POLICY:

  • We take NO responsibility for costs to any passengers who do not wait for their driver and take alternative transport.

  • Prices shown on the website are for guidance only. Prices are calculated manually with the distance, time of travel and the amount of passengers travelling taken into consideration.

  • We do not charge for the 1st hour waiting time after the agreed pick up time. However, for any further delays caused by passengers stuck in immigration, lost luggage, customs check or any other issue will incur a waiting time charge at a cost of £20/hour pro rata.

  • Cancellation of your booking can be made, however we request up to 24 hours' notice. Cancellation must be made via email or telephone. If notice of cancellation isn’t received at least 12 hours' before pick up you will be charged 30% of the total journey price (less deposit if paid).

  • For trips into central London the £15.00 for congestion charge and £12.50 for ultra low emmission zone (ulez) additional charge will be applied to the booking. You will be advised on this prior to your journey.

  • Minimum spend for debit/credit card payment £30.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

If you have a complaint about the service you have received, your driver or vehicle you travelled in, in the first instance please contact the Licensed Operator of Local Shuttle Services South Wales, Mr Lee Burksfield, within 48 hours of pick up on 0781 3803240 or email for his attention at info@localshuttleservices.co.uk where your complaint will be dealt with urgently and the Licensing Officer at Cardiff City Council will be informed. Please include in your complaint:

  • Your name, address and contact number 

  • Date and time of your booking

  • Details of the driver you may have

  • Details of your complaint 

 

We will get back to you within 24 hours.

LOCAL SHUTTLE SERVICES SOCIAL MEDIA TERMS & CONDITIONS

Social Media Competition Terms and Conditions 2023

To enter a competition you must be: (a) UK resident; and (b) 16 years old or over at the time of entry.

  • To enter our social media competitions, there is no entry fee and no purchase necessary.

  • The prize will not be transferable to another person.

  • No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered.

  • The prize is not transferable.

  • The prize is subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

  • Winners will be picked at random or how otherwise stated on the competition / post.

  • The winner will be notified via social media or email within 28 days of the closing date.

  • The closing date is as specified in each competition / post. As the promoter, we reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without prior warning.

  • If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

  • Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.

  • By entering this competition you give permission for promotional activity around this competition to be used by Local Shuttle Services.

  • By entering the competition you are giving permission to Local Shuttle Services to contact you with details of offers, promotions, news and events. Any personal data collected will be dealt with in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

  • Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • The competition is governed by English law.

 

Third party competitions promoted via Local Shuttle Services – As the promoter, we are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
